Are you planning on IVF?

Did you know that acupuncture has been shown to help when couples are going through the IVF process by increasing the chances of conception. It helps by improving the ovarian function and helps to strengthen and produce better quality eggs, strengthens the immune system and reduce stress prior to the IVF and during.

Prior to the transfer it helps to dilate and relax the cervix for easier transfer to the uterus, helps to relax you and the uterus so less likely to experience cramps so encourages implantation.

After the embryo transfer acupuncture is used to assist the blood circulation to the uterus, nourish the embryo growth and relax the uterus and prevent cramps. In Chinese medicine the Kidneys are involved in reproduction and the kidney energy weakens as we get older showing symptoms of lower back ache around menstration and weakness behind the knees. Acupuncture points aim to build and strengthen the Kidney energy which increases the chance of conception. Acupuncture can also help with some side effects you may have from the medication, hot flushes, irritability, nausea, headaches.

Acupuncture helps to balance and strengthen the body helping to de stress you and get ready and help to conceive.
